Martes !

:) Yesterday was a fun day ! We woke up to a bit of a breeze coming through the window ... but that was okay. we just knew we had to dress a little warmer ... after we got ready me, brittany, & jill went out into the city. we did LOTS of shopping! Dresses, Scarves, Jewelry ... everything! I can't wait to upload all of our pictures to show either! ... After shopping we came back and had our on little siesta... then met up with DD a lady that was here for uncle jeff's business and we all had McDonald's in Spain. lol it was actually better than in the US. After McDonal's we did a little more shopping at H&M. Then last night Uncle Jeff had an important dinner to go to so me and jill went to a place called Erasmus... it was okay... the business was't so great... but oh well. after that it started to drizzle so we went back to the hotel to get warmer clothes and then headed out to find some spanish sangria. We found this cute little local place that had a deal of only 4Euros and you could have as much cer veza, vino, or sangreia that you wanted. It was so much fun & so crazy. we met people from GA & South Carolina.... and I met somebody from Columbia County. I still can't get over how it's such a small world!! :)) anyway.. we had a great night!! :)) Write some later !! - Krista ! :))

Lunes

Lunes : After getting breakfast we walked around town and shopped a little bit ! After eating breakfast we met up with Uncle Jeff's Coworker & his daughter ( Brittany ) ! We did some more shopping... jill and i got a few little things and Uncle Jeff got a few little things. Shopping in all the little local shops are fun! After shopping we went back to the hotel to get ready for a dinner with Brittany and her dad! I ate the best steak i've ever had... Veal! ... also i had "Barnicles" let me remind you these are def. the little things that grow on the side of boats lol. anyways after dinner we walked back to the Plaza Mayor for some ice cream :)) yummy the ice cream here is so good... the Queso con Mango is my favorite!! ... we headed back home... but instead of going to be me and jill went outside took some pictures and walked down to the little 24 hora SuperMeracado. After we ate our chocolat we went to beddDd ! :))

exhausted.

Just woke up ... i'm really exhausted cause I didn't get much sleep (Jet Lag) we are about to go eat breakfast at a cute little "Tapa Restaurante". I think we will probably go shopping today! I want to get a couple of cute spainsh dresses! :)) I love Spain! It is so beautiful here! :)) I can't wait to show all of you what I have seen!! Sorry this was so quick gotta go ! :) today in Salamanca!

Today after our little break we went out to explore Universitidad Salamanca . It was very beautiful. The Mascot of Salamanca is a frog. The reason being is because on the beautiful building of Univeritidad Salamanca there are did carvings of different animals and such... well there is a hidden frog and they say if you can find the frog it's good luck... but if you can't its bad luck. ( I found it. ) I was so excited !! After seeing that we saw a lot of neat things... this little old man was playing the guitar so i gave him some 70Euros... he was such a good singer. Sounded so peaceful. After we left there was kept walking and we walked to the Famous Roman Arch Bridge and took pictures down by the river. We had a great time. I think tomorrow we will def. do a lot of shopping !! I will probably post more tomorrow! We are about to go out to dinner! [let me remind you it's 10 oh clockk] lol they eat at weird times ! Hola from Salamanca, Spain !

Hola everyone! Our plane arrived in Madrid, Spain yesterday around 9 oh clock... but to us it felt like 3 oh clock :/ lol ... after getting our baggage we found our rental car and we were off ! On the way to Salamanca we stopped at the World's Most intact Medieval walled city, Avila, it was beautiful! I have never seen anything like it! I took lots of pictures so no worries i will share :)

After leaving Avila our next stop was Salamanca... I slept most of the way because I was exhausted! Jill and Uncle Jeff were trying to focus on the road! We finally arrived and the TomTom was taking us around in circles... I think it was a bit confused. Finally we just "Attempted" to park the car ... and asked somebody where the hotel was. Actually it's funny... because where we parked was like a block from the hotel front door! We finally settled in ... when we got to our room we slept for a little over 2 hours then we went out to explore.

We went to a few Cathedral's they were absolutely AMAZING! I've never seen such beauty! After site seeing a while we just walked around to little stores. We tried to eat in a little "Tapa Restaurante" but the man was very ignorent, so we left ! We ended up coming back to the hotel and resting and then eating down stairs at the hotel. ( Spanish people don't usually eat dinner until about 10 at night ! ) so we were pretty hungry. We started out with some pon blanco (white bread) and the best jamon & queso (ham & cheese - this ham was so amazing) ... and jill and i orded Roll of pig & apricots! it was very good... Uncle Jeff however didn't really like his dinner which was squid cooked in it's own ink :/ i could imagine why ... lol ! After eating we went to sleep for the night !

Today we woke up around 4 this morning and realized we needed more sleep lol jill couldn't sleep for about 2 hours, but i was able to fall back to sleep til about 11 ! We got up and got ready for the day ! We went walking and got lunch at this neighborhood restaurante and we had what my mom suggested " Paella" it was very very good!!! ( thanks mom ) ... After eating we went walking again trying to find the supermercado... which is not open on sunday's. Now we are just sitting in the hotel taking a break. We are about to go explore some more and take pictures ! I will post more later tonight !! :)) Amor - Krista !

Anticipation . . .

Today I packed packed & packed ! I had so much to do today before coming to Columbia ! After everything was done my mommy & my little sister brought me to Columbia, SC to spend the night with my cousin so I wouldn't have to drive here early in the morning! I'm so glad my mommy got to bring me here! That way I got to spend some quality time with her before I left! I am so Grateful for my mommy & daddy without them I probably would not have this great opportunity !! 

It's 12AM and my plane leaves for spain in about 14 hours! I'm super excited about my trip, but also a little nervous! I am going to Salamanca, Spain with my cousin Jill & My uncle Jeff (her dad)! I'm trying to stay up late so that tomorrow i will be able to sleep on the long plane ride!! I will try and update this as much as possible ... idk how much access i will have to a computer!! 

I'm so excited though !! 

I love all my friends & family & andy ! can't wait to tell you all about my adventure !
